NB : Stages of Hepatic Encephalopathy :
– I : Euphoria or depression, mild confusion, slurred speed, disordered sleep.

II : Lethargy, moderate confusion.

III : Marked confusion, incoherent speech, sleeping but arousable.

IV : Coma, initially responsive to noxious stimuli, but later unresponsive.
“Reversible” Ascitis / Encephalopathy : responds to medical treatment.
